Lily Scilabro is a seventeen-year-old born and raised in Huntsville Alabama. The sound she has is R&B/ jazz meshed into her own vibe. Her biggest influences consist of Amy Winehouse, Lauryn Hill, and Sabrina Claudio. She became captivated with the movement and the lyrics of a song at an early age. She has always sung around the house since before she can remember, but only started wanting this as a lifestyle four years ago. She had a hard family struggle growing up and music was her way out of reality at the time. She expresses that still to this day “music is the only way I can tell anyone how I felt in that moment, without it I feel trapped inside my own mind”. Through those hard times, she learned how to write about real things she knew about and how to make people feel what she was feeling through the movement of her voice. In the past, she recorded songs she wrote but she never put out because she knew it wasn’t her true sound and she didn’t want to give off the wrong impression. Lily has performed for her school “Battle of the Bands” and posts her videos on YouTube and Instagram to get her name out in the world. She is currently a recording artist working on her own music that is completely a reflection of who and where she is in her life right now.
